Philosophy of Chiropracitc Continued

From the desk of Ann Arbor Chiropractor, Michael Tannenbaum, D.C.

Here, again, I'm going to discuss another of B.J. Palmer's principles of chiropractic and life in general. Palmer is the son the founder of Chiropractic, D.D. Palmer.

Principle 14

Force is manifested by motion in matter; all matter has motion, therefore there is universal life in all matter.

Palmer is saying, I believe, that all matter, simple or complex, must vibrate to one degree or another in order to be matter and that this vibration/motion/force is the expression of “universal life” (which which I described in a earlier blog post) in the matter. In addition, I think Palmer is saying that the more organization required to make/maintain that matter the more vibration/motion/force the matter possess which means that more organization required to make matter the more “life” that matter contains.

I think Palmer would also say that if the matter is not healthy then the organization of the matter is also unhealthy and that would mean that the matter is not receiving or using it's vibration/motion/force (i.e.,”universal life”) to optimal affect. For example, if the human body (matter) has misaligned bones, then gravity, which is a part of “universal life”, would cause those bones to degenerate incorrectly and faster then they should, possibly causing one to experience back pain, neck pain, headaches or other nerve and musculoskeltal problems.
