Chirorpractors Suggestions On New Years Resolutions

~~New Years resolutions are hard to keep. There is a lot of research as to why this occurs.  On the other hand, some  research has found there are ways to keep New Years resolutions. According to this research the secret to keeping your New Years resolutions is to choose attainable and specific goals. Our chiropractic staff  in Ann Arbor and myself, as a chiropractor, understand this concept that goals must be specific and attainable. With this in mind, our Ann Arbor chiropractic office has set some resolutions/goals for our patients for the new year. I hope that my chiropractic patients and people that read this blog will  follow our recommendations so that they can have a healthier life, including less back pain, neck pain, headaches, and other nerve related and musculo-skelatal problems.
Here are Tannenbaum Chiropractic's recommendations for the new year:
1. Increase your water intake. You need plenty of water to help maintain optimal function of the tissues systems and organs of your body.
2. Get adequate sleep. Everyone has different sleep needs to help maintain optimal health. Most people need between 7 and 9 hours of sleep a night.
3.Exercise regularly: Even walking with the goal of getting your heart rate up is a good form of exercise.  Ultimately the goal is to get about 4 hours of exercise a week making sure this exercise is includes both  cardo (raising your heart rate) and  weight resistance and/or weight bearing.
4. Improve your diet. Add more fruits and vegetables to your diet and reduce sugar and processed foods.
5. Get regular chiropractic adjustments (hopefully at our Ann Arbor Chiropractic office). Chiropractic treatments can help you get rid of neck pain, back pain, headaches and other muskulo-skeletal problems while optimizing your health.
