Chiropractors Treat More Then Neck and Back Pain

From The Desk Of Ann Arbor Chiropractor, Michael Tannenbaum, D.C.

Many people don't realize that chiropractors treat parts of the body other then the neck, upper back, mid back, low back, pelvis and headaches. While it is true those are the areas chiropractors spend the majority of the time treating, most chiropractors are trained to and treat what are called the extremities (of the body). Extremities are the arms, legs, hands, feet, ankles, wrists, knees and elbows. Chiropractic is a great approach to treating extremities as chiropractic is noninvasive and gentle, while very effective in relieving and alleviating extremity pain and/or dysfunction. An example of a protocol I use to treat knee pain is a gentle traction/tugging of the knee joint in a particular direction. This simple technique is surprisingly effective.

So, my message here is that chiropractic is not just a very effective tool to rid oneself of back pain, neck pain and headaches, it's also a great way to help get rid of extremity pain and/or dysfunction.
