B.J. Palmer's Principle 20

From the desk of Ann Arbor chiropractor Mike Tannenbaum, D.C. Today’s blog post will delve into another of B.J. Palmer's principles of chiropractic.

Principle 20

A 'living thing' has an inborn intelligence within its body called Innate Intelligence. There is innate intelligence within all 'living things'.

This principle is hugely important in chiropractic. It is saying that every living thing has the inborn intelligence/wisdom (innate intelligence), down to every cell, based on the architecture of that living thing, to live, adapt and self heal within the environment that it lives as long as this intelligence is not interfered with. That is, all the infinite and complex codes of the brain and the body are part of this innate intelligence and that this innate intelligence is what controls and coordinates the body. If one's innate intelligence is interfered with one will be sick and won't reach their potential for 100% health unless 100% innate intelligence is restored. Chiropractic attempts to make sure that the innate intelligence is working as close to 100% as possible by trying to make sure the intelligence from the brain gets to the body and from the body to the brain occurs with out interference. Chiropractors do this by trying to make sure the nerve system functions as close to 100% as possible. Signs of interference to one's innate intelligence are back pain, neck pain, headaches, and really any problems one's body is having.
