Headaches: My Observations

~~Here are some observations I've made about people who experience headaches more often then the average person. This is not a scientific analysis of headache sufferers, rather this is my observations from over 13 years of treating people with headaches.

Often  experience neck pain.
A higher frequency of neck bone misalignment then the average person (observed through neck palpation and cervical spine x-rays analysis).
Many have jobs or had jobs that require that they spend much of their day sitting at a desk.
Often have tight neck and upper back muscles.

Here are a list of things one can do to help prevent headaches (especially if sitting the majority of the time while at work):

If sitting much of the times at a desk while at work, get up frequently to walk around and stretch. Especially focus on stretching your upper back and neck muscles.
Make sure your work station ergonomics are such to avoid neck and upper back strain.
Drink plenty of water (avoid sweet drinks and drinks with artificial sweeteners).
Try to find ways to de-stress. Some times deep breathing exercises help people here.
Make sure you diet is  made up mostly anti inflammatory foods (I don't have room here to list these foods, but a little research should give you all the information you'll need).
Get plenty of exercise.
