10 Most Frequently Asked Questions
1.
What is chiropractic?
Chiropractic is the science, art, and philosophy
of locating, correcting, and preventing vertebral
subluxations through specific gentle chiropractic
adjustments, thus allowing the body to function
at its optimum potential.
2.
What is an adjustment?
A specific "thrust" delivered by hand
which is called a "Manual Adjustment"
or a non-invasive "thrust" by a hand held
instrument called the Integrator. The purpose of
the adjustment is to remove nerve interference to
your body.
3.
Will my adjustment hurt?
You
won't feel much. Dr. Mike uses manual adjusting
techniques (mentioned earlier), which are safe,
gentle, and many people say feel good. Dr. Mike
also uses the integrator instrument that delivers
a thrust at one-ten thousandth of a second so all
you fell is a little "thump".
4.
Can you help my sick child?
Very likely. We use examination & adjusting
techniques/protocols appropriate for children.
We have a lot of success helping children.
5.
How many times do I have to come in?
Each practice member is unique on every level; therefore,
it is virtually impossible for us to know exactly
how many adjustments you need to meet each of your
health goals. However, we will recommend a certain
number of adjustments that our experience and science
tell us are appropriate for your situation.
6.
Will I feel better after I am adjusted?
We are not focused on treating disease, but rather
on enhancing the healing potential of all practice
members. Scientific studies have documented that
those receiving chiropractic care experience a 200%
increase in immuno competence (stronger immune system)
as well as a host of other benefits including: increased
energy and stamina, increased metabolism, increased
mental ability to deal with stress, and much more.
Although the chiropractic adjustment does often
result in rapid improvement in acute symptoms, the
real goal of chiropractic is to increase health
and wellness and maintain them at a higher level.
We are dedicated to your greatest goals in this
area of health and wellness.

9.
How long will it take to get adjusted?
Even the busiest practice members commit to making
chiropractic care a priority in their lives. Your
adjustment will take 5-8 minutes. However, if you
want to schedule extra time, one-on-one with
Dr. Mike to talk about a particular issue, just
ask and we will schedule you appropriately.
10.
What if I feel fine?
Do I need to keep coming back?
That is always up to you. However, it has been our
experience with many practice members that stopped
care when they are "feeling fine," that
is, not having ongoing care (regular follow-up care),
the problem that they originally came in for returns.
On the other hand, those who commit to regular care
find their problem rarely returns, as well they
enjoy a higher quality of life and health. |
