Posture: It's Important

~~Today I took part in jury duty selection process . It was a lot of sitting around with a lot of people, but ultimately I wasn't selected for jury duty. What was interesting to me through the whole thing had nothing to with the jury selection process, but the posture of the people that took part in the selection process. When your hanging around with a large group of people for a few hours and not doing much of anything, but waiting, you tend to notice the people who your waiting with and being a chiropractor I noticed people's posture. I'm hoping what  I saw is not a microcosm of the posture seen for all adult humans. The posture was bad, real bad. I can guarantee you that many of these people with the bad posture are hurting and not healthy. The nerves in their bodies are not firing as they should because the bad posture also indicates bones out of place that are irritating nerves. This causes these people's muscles to tighten and then the bones are unable to get back to their correct position and thus the bones will degenerate faster then they should causing further posture and health problems. I could go on about this, but the point is that posture is important and it's worth your time to work on it. One interesting stat is that there is a correlation with posture and life expectancy. That is, the worse one's posture is the shorter, on average, one's life will be. So, the bottom line here is make sure you have good posture. You can be your own judge and jury, look at yourself in a mirror and see if your guilty of bad posture.

By the way, I wish I had my chiropractic table with me at the jury selection process as the whole thing took so long I would have had time to treat all those waiting with me who had back pain, neck pain and headaches.
